Henry Holland x Paul Smith Ceramic "TABLE" Table Lamp

£2,800

'Nobody Cares How Good You Used To Be',  the name given to the collaboration between Henry Holland and Paul Smith. This lamp as well as special one-off creations came about through Henry’s experimentation with form and shape and colours inspired by Paul Smith’s Signature Stripe.

Our "TABLE" table lamp is larger than normal, she'd sit comfortably on a sideboard or entrance hall. Made using stacked earthenware spheres sitting atop a hand-turned oak base.  The bespoke hand-sewn linen lampshade has a canopy-like silhouette and when lit it radiates a warm inviting glow to set any room.

Each and every piece is handmade in our London studio. The nature of our making process means that each and every piece is unique and designs, colour, and the contrast of tones and patterns may vary.

Henry says  “I’ve always been a fan of the bobbin technique used in wooden furniture and I started toying with the idea of creating ceramic spheres that would stack - like an abacus - over a solid oak frame to form the base of the lamp and create a similar silhouette. Instead of uniformity, however, I’ve mixed different sizes here which I think gives this a unique profile and makes a strong stand-alone statement.”
