Henry Holland x Floor Story

L’art de la Sol

L’art de la Sol, meaning "the art of the floor" in French, is a fitting title for our latest rug collection with Floor Story.

Inspired by Henry’s childhood summers in the French countryside and infused with his signature English eccentricity, this collection is a true fusion of cultures and styles.

Distorted Gingham Pattern

There’s plenty to indulge in with this six-part rug collection. The shapes of the rugs are inspired by Henry’s  mother’s 1950s French tableware, featuring deep carving that accentuates their ornate outlines. These intricate details contrast beautifully with the distorted gingham pattern that repeats across the rugs.

The Gingham Pattern is evident through the latest flooring collection and extends out our newest Gingham ceramic collection. The rugs feature bold, vibrant colours that add an unexpected flair to any space.

THREE RUG SHAPES

The collection consists of three rug shapes: a circular design (Plat), an oval (Rondelle), and a runner (Ravier), available in brown, blue and green colorways.

SHOP THE COLLECTION

“For me, this collection really is a love letter to long summers spent in the French countryside, with a large dollop of English eccentricity,” says Henry.

Both hand-knotted and tufted versions provide a luxurious woolen pile height to sink into, with each piece hand-finished with carving to emphasize the graphic gingham shapes and deep ridged outlines.
