Waxing lyrical...

Winter is on its way and so that's got us bulk buying in the safety matches and hunkering down with our HHS scented candle collection. For 2023 we've decided to add a new member to the flame family - endearing called 'Floral as F*ck' - because, well, that's exactly what it is and we couldn't think of a name to top it!

We launched our first trio of scents last year - after a year and a half - literally - in the (hand) making. Our signature marbled-ceramic chalice - the Grand Dame of our tableware collection obvious - has been re-imagined as vessel, filled with hand-poured soy wax with scents evoking ideas of romanticism, invigoration and creativity. Mixed in London, the new aromas have each been individually developed for, and chosen by Henry.

"I found ceramics as a form of meditative therapy and release at a time when I needed it most, and the first thing I ever made at my kitchen table was a candle in a ceramic pot - although I did end up covering the kitchen in melted wax. It took taken eighteen months since then for us to perfect our bespoke scents and our first collection is inspired by significant nostalgic memories and moments in my life." - Henry

Available in four different ceramic colourways - blue & white, green & white, brown & white or oatmeal & white - paired to each scent, each chalice is hand-built in Henry’s East-London studio, using his own interpretation of the nerikomi ceramic technique - a form of layering different coloured clays on top of each other which results in a marble like finish. With a long burn time of 40 hours, once melted, the chalice can then be used as decorative object in the home.

Each of our candles is poured by hand down the road from our studio in Hackney with 100% eco-soy wax and essential oils, all of which are vegan, non-GMO, paraben free, phthalate free & cruelty free.
