Our workshops are about slowing down, having a go, and spending a little time with clay in our Hackney studio.
Whether you are coming solo, bringing a mate, or gifting someone a creative moment, these sessions are hands on, welcoming, and led by our brilliant studio team. No experience needed. Just curiosity and sleeves you can roll up.
This 75 minute, hands on session invites guests to get stuck in and create their very own art deco inspired mug. Guided by a member of Henry Holland Studio’s team, you will learn Henry’s self taught approach to ceramics, including hand building techniques and his distinctive take on the traditional Japanese nerikomi method.
You will roll, cut, and hand mould clay slabs to form your mug, learning each step of the process in a relaxed and friendly studio environment. Once complete, your mug will be professionally sanded, fired, and glazed by our team.
Finished pieces will be ready for collection from the studio approximately three weeks after the workshop. We will let you know when it is ready to pick up.
